Australian Capital Territory Current Acts Australian Capital Territory Current Acts(1) If a fortification inspection order in relation to premises is in force, a police officer may, at any time and without a warrant, enter the premises to inspect the premises to assess whether the premises are fortified.
Note If a law gives a function to an entity (including a person), the function may be exercised from time to time (see Legislation Act
, s 196 and dict, pt 1, def entity ).
(2) However, the police officer must not enter the premises unless the chief police officer has reasonable grounds to believe the premises are fortified.
