For this part, if a court makes a child sex offender registration order in relation to a person for an offence, the person is taken to be a registrable offender found guilty of a class 2 offence.
Note A court may make a child sex offender registration order if a person is found guilty of an offence that is not a class 1 or class 2 offence and the court is satisfied that the person poses a risk to the sexual safety of 1 or more people or of the community (see s 15).
