Australian Capital Territory Current Acts Australian Capital Territory Current Acts(1) This section applies if a victim of an offence is required to attend court to give evidence as a witness for the prosecution in a proceeding for the offence.
(2) The director of public prosecutions must, within a reasonable period before the witness is to give evidence, tell the victim about, or where to find information about—
(a) the hearing or trial process; and
(b) the role, rights and responsibilities of witnesses.
