Australian Capital Territory Numbered Acts Australian Capital Territory Numbered Acts(1) The issuing officer may order that the police officer who made an application under section 228 (Keeping things for further period) may keep the thing if the issuing officer is satisfied that it is necessary for the police officer to do so for the purpose of beginning or conducting a proceeding under this Act, another Territory law or the law of the Commonwealth, a State or another Territory.
(2) The order must state the period for which the officer may keep the thing.
(3) The provisions of this part relating to the issue of search warrants apply, with any necessary changes, to the making of an order under this section.
