ANIMAL DISEASES REGULATION 2006 (NO 39 OF 2006) - REG 12

    (1)     A person commits an offence if the person—

        (a)     uses an NLIS device to identify stock; and

        (b)     the device is not an approved NLIS device.

Maximum penalty: 10 penalty units.

    (2)     A person commits an offence if the person uses an approved NLIS device to identify stock in a way that contravenes an approval under section 8 (Approved ways of using tags).

Maximum penalty: 10 penalty units.

    (3)     An offence against this section is a strict liability offence.
