In this part:

"forensic proceeding "means a proceeding in relation to an application to carry out a forensic procedure under the Act

or the Crimes Act

"prescribed offender"—see the Crimes Act

"serious offender"—

        (a)     for an application under the Act

        (b)     for an application under the Crimes Act

"the Act" means the Crimes (Forensic Procedures) Act 2000

"the Crimes Act" means the Crimes Act 1914
