(1) An operation or procedure specified for the purposes of this regulation is not an operation or procedure for the purpose of paragraph 11 (1) (e) of the Act if the medical practitioner responsible for carrying it out gives a certificate stating that the death has not occurred as a result of that operation or procedure.

CORONERS REGULATIONS (NO. 28 OF 1994) - REG 5

5. (1) An operation or procedure specified for the purposes of this regulation is not an operation or procedure for the purpose of paragraph 11 (1) (e) of the Act if the medical practitioner responsible for carrying it out gives a certificate stating that the death has not occurred as a result of that operation or procedure.

(2) The following operations or procedures are specified for the purposes of this regulation:

(a) the giving of an intravenous injection;

(b) the giving of an intramuscular injection;

(d) the insertion of a line or cannula;

(e) artificial ventilation;

(f) cardiac resuscitation;

(g) urethral catheterisation.
