(1) A prime contractor commits an offence if—
(a) the contractor transports dangerous goods; and
(b) the goods are a placard load; and
(c) the load is not appropriately placarded; and
(d) the contractor knows, or ought reasonably to know, that—
(i) the goods are a placard load; and
(ii) the load is not appropriately placarded.
Maximum penalty: 40 penalty units.
(2) A prime contractor commits an offence if—
(a) the contractor transports a placard load; and
(b) the load's placarding is false or misleading in a material particular; and
(c) the contractor knows, or ought reasonably to know, that the placarding is false or misleading in a material particular.
Maximum penalty: 40 penalty units.
