DANGEROUS GOODS (ROAD TRANSPORT) REGULATION 2010 (NO 12 OF 2010) - REG 97

Offence—prime contractor—non-compliance with safety standards

    (1)     A prime contractor commits an offence if—

        (a)     the contractor uses a vehicle to transport dangerous goods; and

        (b)     the vehicle or its equipment does not comply with the ADG code, chapter 4.4 and chapter 6.9.

Maximum penalty: 40 penalty units.

    (2)     An offence against this section is a strict liability offence.
