DANGEROUS SUBSTANCES (EXPLOSIVES) AMENDMENT REGULATION 2009 (NO 1) (NO 26 OF 2009) - REG 10

277A     Supply of consumer fireworks—limited quantity

    (1)     A person commits an offence if—

        (a)     the person supplies consumer fireworks to a consumer at premises; and

        (b)     the quantity supplied to the consumer at the premises in a single day is more than 25kg.

Maximum penalty: 30 penalty units.

    (2)     An offence against this section is a strict liability offence.

Note     A reference to a quantity of explosive by weight is a reference to the gross quantity of the explosive (including the packaging) (see s 21).
