DANGEROUS SUBSTANCES (EXPLOSIVES) REGULATIONS 2004 (NO 10 OF 2004) - REG 111

Explosives driving licence applications—Act, s 50 (2)

An application for an explosives driving licence must include the following information and documents:

        (a)     the name, address and date of birth of the applicant;

        (b)     2 passport photographs of the applicant;

        (c)     a copy of a driver's licence the applicant has held for the previous 12 months;

        (d)     details of the vehicle or vehicles that the applicant proposes to use to carry explosives;

        (e)     evidence that the applicant has had experience within the previous 12 months of driving a vehicle or vehicles of the kind or kinds in which explosives are to be carried under the licence;

        (f)     evidence that the applicant has satisfactorily completed a training course approved by the chief executive for a driver of a vehicle carrying explosives by road;

        (g)     evidence that the applicant has met the commercial vehicle driver medical standards required by Assessing Fitness to Drive , published by Austroads Inc.;

        (h)     evidence of the applicant's driving history record as required by a form for the application approved under the Act, section 222;

              (i)     any other information or documents required by such a form.
