DANGEROUS SUBSTANCES (EXPLOSIVES) REGULATIONS 2004 (NO 10 OF 2004) - REG 134

Licensable storage—notice to fire authorities

    (1)     The licensee must give written notice of the following information to the fire commissioner or the chief fire control officer, whichever is appropriate, as soon as practicable after the licence is issued, renewed or amended:

        (a)     a copy of the licence;

        (b)     a site plan showing the location of the magazine.

    (2)     If the licence is cancelled or otherwise ceases to be in force, the former licensee must give written notice of the cancellation or cessation to the fire commissioner or the chief fire control officer, whichever is appropriate, within 7 days after—

        (a)     the day of the cessation; or

        (b)     if the licence is cancelled—the day the former licensee is told about the cancellation.

Maximum penalty: 20 penalty units.

    (3)     An offence against this regulation is a strict liability offence.
