DANGEROUS SUBSTANCES (EXPLOSIVES) REGULATIONS 2004 (NO 10 OF 2004) - REG 182

Use of explosives—occupier's responsibilities

    (1)     An occupier of premises must not allow a person to use an explosive at the premises unless the person is authorised to do so under this part.

Maximum penalty: 10 penalty units.

    (2)     An occupier of premises must not allow a person to use an explosive at the premises except in accordance with a blasting permit authorising the use of the explosive.

Maximum penalty: 10 penalty units.

    (3)     This regulation does not apply to the use of an explosive under the supervision of an inspector or police officer.

    (4)     An offence against this regulation is a strict liability offence.
