DANGEROUS SUBSTANCES (EXPLOSIVES) REGULATIONS 2004 (NO 10 OF 2004) - REG 185

Shotfirer licence applications—Act, s 50 (2)

    (1)     An application for a shotfirer licence must include the following information and documents:

        (a)     the name, address and date of birth of the applicant;

        (b)     2 passport photographs of the applicant;

        (c)     documentation describing a safety management system for the use of explosives under the licence;

        (d)     for each kind of explosive to be used—

              (i)     the product name, UN number and classification code; or

              (ii)     the authorisation number;

        (e)     details of any training course approved for regulation 186 (2) (b) that the applicant has attended in the use of explosives, and evidence that the applicant passed the course, or met an applicable standard of competency because of the course;

        (f)     evidence that the applicant has suitable practical experience in the use of the explosives intended to be used under the licence;

        (g)     any other information or documents required by a form for the application approved under the Act, section 222.
