(1) The chief executive may approve an outdoor fireworks display for an event at a time, on a day, and at a place, stated in the fireworks display permit for the display, appropriate for the celebration of the event.

Note An example is part of the regulations, is not exhaustive and may extend, but does not limit, the meaning of the provision in which it appears (see Legislation Act, s 126 and s 132).
(2) In deciding whether to approve an outdoor fireworks display under subregulation (1), the chief executive must have regard to the noise nuisance to anyone who lives near the place of the display, or who is likely to be nearby at the time of the display.
