FIREARMS REGULATIONS (NO. 13 OF 1997) - REG 36 36. For the purposes of paragraph 63 (1) (c) of the Act, the prescribed requirement in relation to the security and safe storage of a category A or category B firearm is that the firing mechanism of the firearm shall be removed and stored separately from the firearm if at all possible.
