FIREARMS REGULATIONS (NO. 13 OF 1997) - REG 55
55. (1) Where an employee of a government agency holds a licence or permit authorising possession or use of a firearm for the purposes of his or her employment with the agency the agency or, if the agency is not a corporation, the chief executive of the agency shall ensure that—
(a) this regulation is complied
with; and
(b) the employee complies
with subregulation 56 (2).
(2) A firearm to which this regulation
applies—
(a) shall be secured
in such a manner as to reasonably prevent its removal other than by an
employee authorised to possess it; and
(b)
shall not be in the possession of an employee who is not authorised to
possess it.
(3) The obligations in this regulation are in addition to any
other obligation contained in these Regulations.
