PROTECTION ORDERS REGULATIONS 2002 (2002 NO 6) - REG 7

Exceptions to requirement for preliminary conference

The registrar need not hold a preliminary conference in relation to an application if—

        (a)     the application is for an emergency order; or

        (b)     the registrar is satisfied that the conference would not achieve its objects (completely or partly).

Note     An interim order is made on an application for a final order, but does not need its own application. Because preliminary conferences are held in relation to applications, a preliminary conference need not be held in relation to an interim order, as long as the preliminary conference is held in relation to the application for the final order.
