Australian Capital Territory Numbered Regulations Australian Capital Territory Numbered Regulations(1) To work out the axle load of an axle of a vehicle using a measuring instrument, a measuring instrument must be placed under each tyre of the 2 wheels of the axle, so that all of the mass borne by the axle is borne by the 2 measuring instruments.
(2) For subsection (1), the axle load of the axle is the sum of the masses on the 2 measuring instruments.
