(5) In this section:
"national minimum English standard", for taxi drivers, means the following levels of English language proficiency under the International Second Language Proficiency Ratings (ISLPR): General Proficiency Version for English, 2010 edition (the ISLPR ):
(a) listening—3;
(b) speaking—2+;
(c) reading—2;
(d) writing—1+.
Note The ISLPR does not need to be notified under the Legislation Act because s 47 (5) does not apply (see Legislation Act, s 47 (7)). The ISLPR is accessible at www.islpr.org.
"registered training organisation"—see the Training and Tertiary Education Act 2003 , dictionary.
(6) The Legislation Act, section 47 (5) does not apply to the ISLPR.
Note
The text of an applied, adopted or incorporated law or instrument,
whether applied as in force from time to time or at a particular time, is
taken to be a notifiable instrument if the operation of the Legislation Act, s
47 (5) or (6) is not disapplied (see s 47 (7)).
