Australian Capital Territory Numbered Regulations Australian Capital Territory Numbered Regulations(1) A driver must not allow the driver's vehicle to remain parked in a metered parking space if the parking meter for the space indicates that the period for which parking in the space has been paid for has expired.
Maximum penalty: 20 penalty units.
(2) A driver must not allow the driver's vehicle to remain parked in a metered parking space for longer than the period (if any) indicated on the metered parking signs applying to the space as the maximum period for which a vehicle may be parked in the space.
