Australian Capital Territory Numbered Regulations Australian Capital Territory Numbered Regulations(1) A person must not (except with the approval of the road transport authority) place anything in a position that prevents, or is likely to prevent, a prescribed traffic control device from being clearly visible to the road users to whom it is intended to apply.

Maximum penalty: 20 penalty units.
(2) The road transport authority, a police officer or an authorised person may—
(a) orally or in writing, direct a person who has contravened subsection (1) by placing something to remove the thing within a stated reasonable time; or
(b) remove the thing.
(3) If a person is given a direction under subsection (2) (a), the person must comply with the direction.
Maximum penalty: 20 penalty units.
