ROAD TRANSPORT (TAXI SERVICES) REGULATIONS 2000 (2000 NO 5) - REG 17

Driver to hold appropriate driver licence (NSW Reg cl 8 (1))

The operator of a taxi must not allow someone to drive the taxi while it is operating as a taxi unless satisfied that the person is the holder of a public vehicle licence authorising the person to drive the taxi for hire or reward.

Maximum penalty: 20 penalty units.
