Australian Capital Territory Numbered Regulations Australian Capital Territory Numbered Regulations(1) A person must not do work on a sanitary plumbing system or sanitary drainage system that communicates with the sewerage system unless the work is done in accordance with the requirements of Australian Standard 3500.
Maximum penalty: 10 penalty units.
(2) A person must not use plumbing and drainage products in a sanitary plumbing system or sanitary drainage system that communicates with the sewerage system unless the work is done in accordance with the requirements of MP52.
Maximum penalty: 10 penalty units.
(3) Subregulations (1) and (2) do not apply if—
(a) the requirements of Australian Standard 3500 or MP52 are inconsistent with standards mentioned in these regulations; and
(b) the work was done in accordance with these regulations.
