Part 20.4B     Investigations

816B     Investigations under Work Safety Act 2008

    (1)     This section applies to an investigation under the Work Safety Act 2008

of an event, accident or other incident that happened before the commencement day.

    (2)     An inspector under the Work Health and Safety Act 2011

may exercise any function of an inspector under the Work Safety Act 2008

in relation to the investigation.

816C     Functions under director-general's delegations

    (1)     This section applies if—

        (a)     the director-general delegated a function of the director-general (the delegated function ) under the Work Safety Act 2008

to a person; and

        (b)     the delegation was in force immediately before the commencement day.

    (2)     The person may exercise the delegated function in relation to an investigation under the Work Safety Act 2008

of an event, accident or other incident that happened before the commencement day.
