CANBERRA SEWERAGE AND WATER SUPPLY REGULATIONS (AMENDMENT) 1988


EXPLANATORY STATEMENT


No. 7 of 1988

The Building and Services Ordinance 1924 and the Canberra Sewerage and Water Supply Regulations (“the Principal Regulations”) provide for the supply of certain services.

The Canberra Sewerage and Water Supply Regulations (Amendment) 1988 will require a person or his or her employer to take out a plumbing permit for work on fire sprinkler systems involving connection to the water supply and that such work must be performed by licensed water supply plumbers, licensed journeyman plumbers or licensed sprinkler fitters. It will also replace incorrect references in Regulation 15AB of the Principal Regulations.
