EXPLANATORY STATEMENT
Outline
These regulations make an amendment to the
Schedule 1 of the Domestic Animals Regulations 2001. That Schedule sets
out the list of offences under the Domestic Animals Act 2000 that can be
proceeded with by way of infringement notice.
Formal
Clauses
Clause 1 contains the name of the
regulations
Clause 2 is a formal requirement dealing with the
commencement of the regulations. They are to commence when they are
notified.
Clause 3 states that these regulations amend the
Domestic Animals Regulations 2001.
Clause 4 makes the
amendment to the Schedule. It adds the offence under section 41(4) of the Act,
which is the offence of taking a dog into a prohibited area.
Clause 5
provides for renumbering of the Schedule on the next republication of the
Regulations.
