Legislative Assembly (Precincts) Regulation 2016

Legislative Assembly Precincts Act 2001, s 12
EXPLANATORY STATEMENT
This regulation declares property
outside of the Legislative Assembly building as part of the ACT Legislative
Assembly precincts for the purposes of the Legislative Assembly Precincts Act
2001 (the Act). The property described in this regulation is managed by the
Territory, and is required for use by the Legislative Assembly.
The
Speaker of the Legislative Assembly provided the Chief Minister with a
certificate under section 6 (2) of the Act in relation to this property.

Clause 1 Name of regulation
This clause provides that
the name of the amendment is the Legislative Assembly (Precincts) Regulation
2016.
Clause 2 Commencement
This clause provides that
the regulation commences on the day after it is notified on the ACT Legislation
Register at www.legislation.act.gov.au
.
Clause 3 Premises included in Assembly precincts – Act, s
6 (2)
This clause identifies the property that is to be considered
part of the Legislative Assembly precincts under the Act. A part of Level 1 of
the North Building on block 22, section 19, division of City, Canberra Central
District is named, and a plan of the area is provided in schedule
1.

be declared as part of the Legislative Assembly precincts is included in
schedule 1.
