LAND RENT REGULATION 2008 (NO 28 OF 2008)

EXPLANATORY STATEMENT
1. Section 35 of the Land Rent Act 2008 (Land Rent Act) authorises the Executive to make regulations for the Land Rent Act.
2. The regulation prescribes requirements for the purposes of section 7 (2) of the Land Rent Act, in relation to an application to pay land rent.
3. The regulation provides that:
a. an applicant for a land rent lease must attend an information session provided by the Canberra Institute of Technology (CIT); and
b. provide evidence of attendance at the session, to the Land Development
Agency (LDA) before a land rent lease is granted to them.
