RABBIT DESTRUCTION REGULATIONS (AMENDMENT)

EXPLANATORY STATEMENT

No. 11 of 1986

Section 47A of the Rabbit Destruction Ordinance 1919 provides that the Minister may determine fees for the purposes of the Ordinance.

Regulation 25 of the Rabbit Destruction Regulations (“the Principal Regulations”) provides that when the Minister grants permission to keep live rabbits or hares a licence shall be issued on payment of a fee of $10.00.

The Rabbit Destruction Regulations (Amendment) (“the Amending Regulations”) amend the principal Regulations by omitting the reference to “a fee of $10.00” in Regulation 25 and substituting “the fee determined pursuant to section 47A of the Ordinance”.
