EXPLANATORY STATEMENT
Clause 1 - Name of Regulation – provides that
the Regulation is called the Water Resources Regulation 2007.
Clause 2 - Commencement – provides that the Regulation
commences on the day the Water Resources Act 2007
commences.
Clause 3 – Dictionary – provides that the
dictionary (at the end of the Regulation) is part of the
Regulation.
Clause 4 – Notes – provides that a
note included in the Regulation is not part of the Regulation, it is purely
explanatory.
Clause 5 – Conditions of water access entitlements –
provides the conditions to which a water access entitlement is
subject.
Clause 6 – Exemptions from requirement for licence to
take water – provides for specific circumstances where a licence to
take water is not required to be held.
Clause 7 – Exemption from
requirement for water access entitlement – reuse schemes –
provides for the reuse of treated sewage without the need for a water access
entitlement.
Clause 8 – Exemption from requirement for water
access entitlement – transfer scheme – provides for a Utility to
transfer water from the Cotter water management area to Googong water management
area without needing a water access entitlement.
Clause 9 –
Licence to take water – where water may be taken – provides the
water management areas that are prescribed.
Clause 10 –
Exemptions from requirement for bore work licence – provides for
specific works when a bore work licence is not required to be
held.
