Amendments to be moved on behalf of the Government

OUTLINE AND FINANCIAL IMPACT STATEMENT

Amendments relating to Farm Household Support Act 1992


Items 77 to 85 of the Family and Community Services Legislation Amendment (Application of Criminal Code) Bill 2001 (the FaCS Criminal Harmonisation Bill) make amendments to certain provisions of the Farm Household Support Act 1992. Substantially similar amendments are contained in the Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry Legislation Amendment (Application of the Criminal Code) Bill 2001 which was introduced into the House of Representatives on 27 June 2001. Items 77 to 85 are therefore not required and are omitted by the Government amendments.

Financial Impact:

There is no financial impact from this change.

NOTES ON AMENDMENTS


Items 77 to 85 of the FaCS Criminal Harmonisation Bill are omitted by Amendment No 2. The changes made by those Items are not required as substantially similar amendments are contained in the Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry Legislation Amendment (Application of the Criminal Code) Bill 2001 which was introduced into the House of Representatives on 27 June 2001.

For completion, Amendment No 1 omits the heading before Item 77.
