AUSTRALIAN EDUCATION ACT 2013 - SECT 37

Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander loading

  (1)   A school's Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander loading for a year is the amount worked out using the following formula:

    Start formula The school's ATSI percentage for the year times The SRS funding amount for the year for a student at the school times The number of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students at the school for the year end formula

Note:   This amount may be rounded up or down (see section   56).

  (2)   A school's ATSI percentage for a year is the following (expressed as a percentage):

    Start formula start fraction 1 over 5 end fraction plus start fraction The number of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students at the school for the year over The number of students at the school for the year end fraction end formula
