AUSTRALIAN PARTICIPANTS IN BRITISH NUCLEAR TESTS AND BRITISH COMMONWEALTH OCCUPATION FORCE (TREATMENT) ACT 2006 - SECT 19

  (1)   If:

  (a)   an eligible person travels for the purpose of obtaining treatment; and

  (b)   the Commission approves the travel; and

  (c)   such conditions as are prescribed are satisfied;

the person is entitled to be paid such travelling expenses, in connection with the travel, as are prescribed.

  (2)   If:

  (a)   a person travels for the purpose of accompanying a person referred to in subsection   (1) as his or her attendant; and

  (b)   the Commission authorises the travel for that purpose; and

  (c)   such conditions as are prescribed are satisfied;

the attendant is entitled to be paid such travelling expenses, in connection with the travel, as are prescribed.

  (2A)   An approval under paragraph   (1)(b) or an authorisation under paragraph   (2)(b) may be given before or after the travel is completed.

  (3)   Travelling expenses are not payable under this section in respect of travel outside Australia.
