AUSTRALIAN RESEARCH COUNCIL ACT 2001 - SECT 5

Establishment of the ARC

  (1)   The Australian Research Council is established by this section.

  (2)   The ARC consists of:

  (aa)   the Board; and

  (a)   the CEO; and

  (b)   the designated committees; and

  (c)   the staff of the ARC.

  (3)   For the purposes of the finance law (within the meaning of the Public Governance, Performance and Accountability Act 2013 ):

  (a)   the ARC is a listed entity; and

  (b)   the members of the Board are the accountable authority of the ARC; and

  (c)   the following persons are officials of the ARC:

  (i)   the CEO;

  (ia)   the members of the Board;

  (ib)   the members of the Board committees;

  (ii)   the members of the designated committees;

  (iii)   the staff of the ARC; and

  (d)   the purposes of the ARC include:

  (i)   the functions of the ARC referred to in section   6; and

  (ia)   the functions of the Board referred to in section   9; and

  (ii)   the functions of the designated committees referred to in section   31; and

  (iii)   the functions of the CEO referred to in section   33B.
