ANTARCTIC TREATY (ENVIRONMENT PROTECTION) ACT 1980 - SECT 20

Contravening conditions of permits

  (1)   A person commits an offence if:

  (a)   a provision of a condition of a permit is applicable to the person (including a provision of a condition that is applicable to the person because of subsection   9A(3)); and

  (b)   the person engages in conduct; and

  (c)   the conduct contravenes the condition.

Penalty:   Imprisonment for 1 year or 60 penalty units, or both.

  (2)   In this section:

"engage in conduct" means:

  (a)   do an act; or

  (b)   omit to perform an act.
