Commonwealth Consolidated Acts Commonwealth Consolidated Acts(1) If an eligible customs officer reasonably suspects that a person on a prescribed aircraft, or in an area or zone of a security controlled airport, is committing, or has committed, an offence against this Act, the officer may request the person to leave:
(a) the aircraft; or
(b) the area or zone; or
(c) the airport.
(2) A person commits an offence if:
(a) a request has been made to the person under subsection (1); and
(b) the person fails to comply with the request.
Penalty for an offence against this subsection: 50 penalty units.
