Commonwealth Consolidated Acts Commonwealth Consolidated Acts(1) For the purposes of this Act, unless the contrary intention appears, a person is taken to have acquired particular goods or services as a consumer if the person would be taken to have acquired the goods or services as a consumer under section 3 of the Australian Consumer Law.
(2) If it is alleged in:
(a) any proceeding under this Act; or
(b) any other proceeding in respect of a matter arising under this Act;
that a person was a consumer in relation to particular goods or services, it is presumed, unless the contrary is established, that the person was a consumer in relation to those goods or services.
