(1) The principles of agency apply in relation to the taking, by a project proponent for an eligible offsets project, of any of the following actions under this Act, the regulations or the legislative rules:
(a) making an application;
(b) giving information in connection with an application;
(c) withdrawing an application;
(d) giving a report;
(e) giving a notice (including an electronic notice);
(f) making a submission;
(g) making a request;
(h) giving information in connection with a request.
(2) For example, the project proponent may authorise another person to be the project proponent's agent for the purposes of making an application under this Act, the regulations or the legislative rules on the project proponent's behalf.
(3) To avoid doubt, this section does not, by implication, limit the application of the principles of agency to other matters arising under this Act, the regulations or the legislative rules.
