DEFENCE HOUSING AUSTRALIA ACT 1987 - SECT 19

  (1)   An appointed member may resign his or her office by writing signed by the member and delivered to the Minister .

  (2)   The resignation takes effect on the day it is received by the Minister or, if a later day is specified in the resignation, on that later day.
