EXCISE ACT 1901 - SECT 51

Collector may give directions

  (1)   The Collector may give directions in writing to any licensed manufacturer directing:

  (a)   in what parts of a factory covered by the licence any process in the manufacture is to be carried on.

  (b)   in what parts of a factory covered by the licence material and other matters used in the manufacture and excisable goods manufactured are respectively to be kept.

And every licensed manufacturer must comply with such directions.

Penalty:   10 penalty units.

Note:   See section   4AA of the Crimes Act 1914 for the current value of a penalty unit.

  (2)   An offence under subsection   (1) is an offence of strict liability.
