(1) A person commits an offence if:
(a) the person is a juror; and
(b) neither the jury nor the juror has been discharged; and
(c) the person is given a direction by the Sheriff or the Court; and
(d) the person fails to comply with the direction.
(2) Subsection (1) is an offence of strict liability.

(3) Subsection (1) does not apply if the person has a reasonable excuse.
