Commonwealth Consolidated Acts Commonwealth Consolidated ActsFor the purposes of this Act, the primary objective of the National Vegetation Initiative is to reverse the long - term decline in the extent and quality of Australia's native vegetation cover by:
(a) conserving remnant native vegetation; and
(b) conserving Australia's biodiversity; and
(c) restoring, by means of revegetation, the environmental values and productive capacity of Australia's degraded land and water.
