NATIONAL MEASUREMENT ACT 1960 - SECT 18QC

Taking disciplinary action

  (1)   If, after consideration of any submissions made by the licensee within the period allowed, the Secretary is satisfied that grounds for disciplinary action against a licensee have been established, the Secretary may:

  (a)   reprimand the licensee; or

  (b)   impose a condition on the licence; or

  (c)   suspend the licence for up to 12 months; or

  (d)   act under any combination of 2 or more of paragraphs   (a), (b) and (c); or

  (e)   cancel the licence and disqualify the former licensee permanently or for a specified period from holding a licence.

  (2)   The Secretary may take the disciplinary action by written notice given to the licensee.

  (3)   That notice takes effect:

  (a)   at the end of the period for lodging an application for a review of the decision by the Administrative Review Tribunal; and

  (b)   if such an application has been made within that period--when the application is withdrawn or finally determined, unless the Administrative Review Tribunal orders otherwise.
