Commonwealth Consolidated Acts Commonwealth Consolidated Acts(1) In determining whether a matter or thing is or was covered by the definition of environment in prescribed regulations made under this Act, it is immaterial, and is taken always to have been immaterial, whether the matter or thing is or was:
(a) in an offshore area; or
(b) in the coastal waters of a State or the Northern Territory; or
(c) on land, or in waters, within the limits of a State or Territory.
(2) Subsection (1) is enacted for the avoidance of doubt.
