Commonwealth Consolidated Acts Commonwealth Consolidated Acts(1) The Governor - General may make regulations, not inconsistent with this Act, prescribing all matters which are by this Act required or permitted to be prescribed, or which are necessary or convenient to be prescribed for carrying out or giving effect to this Act.
(2) Regulations made for the purposes of the definition of allowance by way of salary , or the definition of office , in subsection 4(1) may be expressed to have taken effect from and including a day not earlier than 3 months before the making of the regulations.
