(1) A person who is or was the appointed actuary of a private health insurer may give information, or produce documents, relating to the private health insurer to APRA if the person considers that doing so will assist APRA in performing its functions under this Act, the Private Health Insurance Act 2007 , the Financial Sector (Collection of Data) Act 2001 or the Financial Accountability Regime Act 2023 .
(2) A person who, in good faith and without negligence, gives information, or produces a document, to APRA in accordance with this section is not subject to any action, claim or demand by, or any liability to, any other person in respect of the information or document.
