The later of: (a) the day on which this Act receives the Royal Assent; and (b) the day on which the International Convention on Civil Liability for Bunker Oil Pollution Damage, 2001, done at London on 23 March 2001, enters into force for Australia. However, the provision(s) do not commence at all if the event mentioned in paragraph (b) does not occur.
