Commonwealth Consolidated Acts Commonwealth Consolidated Acts(1) The Parliamentary Budget Officer is to be paid the remuneration that is determined by the Remuneration Tribunal. If no determination of that remuneration by the Tribunal is in operation, the Parliamentary Budget Officer is to be paid the remuneration that is determined by the Presiding Officers.
(2) The Parliamentary Budget Officer is to be paid the allowances that are determined by the Presiding Officers.
(3) This section has effect subject to the Remuneration Tribunal Act 1973 .
(4) A determination made by the Presiding Officers under subsection ( 1) or (2) must be:
(a) published in the Gazette within 14 days after it is made; and
(b) laid before each House of the Parliament as soon as practicable after it is made.
