Commonwealth Consolidated Acts Commonwealth Consolidated Acts(1) Part 3 of the Regulatory Powers Act, as it applies in relation to the provisions mentioned in subsection 284B(1) of this Act, has effect as if a reference in paragraphs 55(6)(b) and 56(1)(b) of the Regulatory Powers Act to an identity card, when used in relation to an authorised person who is:
(a) a member of the Australian Federal Police; or
(b) a member of the police force of an eligible State (within the meaning of section 284 of this Act);
were a reference to written evidence of the fact that the authorised person is such a member.
(2) Section 76 of the Regulatory Powers Act, so far as it applies in relation to a provision mentioned in subsection 284B(1) of this Act, does not apply to an authorised person who is:
(a) a member of the Australian Federal Police; or
(b) a member of the police force of an eligible State (within the meaning of section 284 of this Act).
